Cyclone Ambassadors
What is it?
The Alumni Admissions Council (AAC) is a volunteer program that offers alumni the chance to become a vital part of the recruitment process for Iowa State University and the Office of Admissions.
This volunteer organization plays an important role in allowing students to receive the one-on-one attention needed to make informed decisions regarding their college choices.
How does it work:
* Iowa State Alumni interested in participating can start applying to become Cyclone Ambassadors by accessing the following link:
http://www.admissions.iastate.edu/aac/
* Once approved to serve as an ambassador, Alumni will have access to the schedule of admission events happening near their area. They will be able to see college fairs and community outreach events where admission staff is requesting the presence of Cyclone Ambassadors.
* Cyclone Ambassadors can choose to participate in events based on their geographic proximity or academic interest. You commit to do what is convenient for you based on your schedule and availability.
* We ask that Cyclone Ambassadors make a strong commitment to be present at events they have registered to attend. Admission events are extremely important in helping Iowa State establish a strong reputation/presence in school districts in TX. If we fail to attend we run the risk of not being invited to future college fairs in a school district.
* Once registered for an event - Cyclone Ambassadors will be in contact with the Texas regional admissions representative (David Romero) in order to receive materials and instructions on how to return materials after an event.
